Artwork Subject Matter:
The tractor is a 1940’s International Harvester ID-9
and would have been manufactured in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
A generation or two ago, many farmers moved their
old, retired machinery to their woodlots and “back forties”.
The reason may have been because old machinery.
was not worth much, but also because you
never knew if you might need “her” again.
